Summary :
This position is the intermediate level in the internship for all ITcareer paths. Incumbents in this position will work as part of a project team to provide software and/or hardware support while developing the skills to move into one of 6 career paths,Technical Engineering, Technical Architecture, Software Engineering, Program Management, Software Quality Assurance, or Business Solutions. The incumbent has general knowledge and experience in Information Technology and supports the overall IT functions of the Company.
General Job Duties :
Under guidance, participate as part of project team to provide technical support, resolve issues and plan for assigned IT functions. Provide customer facing support services to internal colleagues. Continuously
expand knowledge in at least one of the 6 career paths and apply it to software development, system architecture, program management,software quality assurance, and understanding and developing business solutions. Continuously strive to improve, support and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and expand services. Perform other duties as required.
Educational Experience :
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience. 0 to 1+ years of general experience in one or more of an IT functions.
General understanding in one of the commonly used IT technologies including PC support, Networking, Applications, Programming Languages, Databases, Server Technologies, etc is required. Analytical
and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work effectively as part of a project team, foster team cooperation. Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs. Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical
personnel. Working towards professional certification as warranted.
Organizational relationship:
At times, reports directly to senior management.Communicates with departmental and business unit personnel throughout the organization to facilitate planning and implementation of technology services. Interacts with other employees at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities.
External Relationship:
May be required to interact with external customers. Develops relationships with professional organizations, peer groups and industry trade groups; participates in industry forums and user groups.
